Welcome Baskets

Refuge “Welcome Baskets” allows a children’s ministry, church small group, or women’s ministry to pack a laundry basket full of supplies and expressions of love for a newly-arrived immigrant family.  And if desired, members can participate in the delivery and serve the new family through one of Refuge’s ongoing opportunities.

How It Works

  • Church representative expresses interest to Refuge (via email at info@refugeintl.org or via phone at 502-610-3462).  

  • Church and Refuge establish a date for a “packing party.”

  • Church/ministry group/small group purchases items for basket.

  • Items are put in basket at “packing party.”

  • Baskets are stored either at church or Refuge depending on desired delivery method. (See graphic below.)
