Prepaid credit cards have been available for over ten years but people did not recognize them. These cards came in spotlight when people started falling in debt traps due to credit cards. Lenders offered plastic money to each and everyone person without noticing their financial capability. As a result, people spent money to get luxurious goods and services; they did not use it wisely. Now, people have understood that this plastic money is meant to use for emergency purposes. These credit cards are saving account cash which individual can use for any purpose with the help of plastic card.
Consumers are not allowed to spend more than the amount deposited into the account. It saves you from liabilities. One good thing of these cards is that lenders do not run credit check while offering the card. It means, bad credit holders can also enjoy the benefits of plastic money if they got cash in saving account. There is no APR charge on these cards because customers use only their money to make transaction. It is not credit at all. Users do not need to worry about later payments or late payment fees; banks deduct the amount on the spot from the account as you make purchase.

Let us sit down and understand the proportions of this problem and how to work our way through it. We can be sure every person out of the five reading this article would have or is facing a debt problem. Quoting the findings published by the US Congress Joint Economic Committee report in May 2009, it is found that the upto March 2009, the consumer revolving debt of the US touched USD 950 billion, this was almost entirely consisted of the credit card debt. The other part this report highlights, which is even more alarming, is the fact that almost 14% of the usable income in the hands of the consumer in US was utilized to pay debt in the last quarter of year 2008. This probably would be more in certain homes. As the slowdown impacts more and more lives. The job market becomes more difficult, steady income would be a problem and then the repayment terms agreed upon becomes a problem in most homes, which are struggling to keep afloat. To these homes the Debt negotiation would definitely bring some joy and relief.
The situation is grim in a majority of the population who are under the threat of getting bankrupt due to mounting loan pressure and diminishing means to repay the loan in time. Foremost in these loans are credit card loans which were used to buy amenities for the household thinking the situation would improve in some months and people would be able to repay them back at the earliest. Since the turn around hasn’t happened as expected, more and more people are finding it difficult to pay back the loans they had taken against their credit cards. This has been researched and a legitimate method of Credit card Debt negotiation is envisaged in order to ensure that the financially incapable are given assistance in such a manner that they are able to repay the entire amount in a different repayment structure loan or at least pay part of he loan which amount to the principal is recovered through a deferred plan. The Debt negotiation begins typically between the debtor and the negotiator in order to find out what is the best possible manner in which the expenses can be controlled in order to generate the necessary surplus enough to pay a steady amount which might be lesser than the original amount but on which the debtor may not default.

If you’re a bank, things are looking up! The $700 billion from the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) has largely gone to buoying up financial institutions with some help to the struggling auto industry as well. So if your name is Bank of America, Citigroup or GM then congratulations are in order. In fact, over $25 billion have been eagerly repaid by those institutions who are stockpiling funds and do not want to have any government oversight of their business. Go banks!
But—if you’re a homeowner or a potential homeowner, an average American, or a small business then the news isn’t all that great. From where I often sit behind the desk of a real estate radio show and podcast, it looks pretty discouraging. The real estate system is starting to move homes, but lending requirements are stricter than ever, and even high FICO and truly qualified buyers are not getting approval. It seems like we’ve created a system in which no one is deemed qualified. Brilliant.

This is why other industries are also now trying to cope with these changes. Banks now have their ATMs so people won’t have to get to the bank on its regular hours and wait in long lines just to get their money. Same thing goes for most government agencies having their small centers where people can go to get some documents, permits, or IDs they need easily.
